Emily Chen Carrera
Emily has been a Big Sister since 1992. She and her Little Sister, Dennys, were the Match of the Year in 1994 for Catholic Big Brothers for Boys and Girls. In 1998, Emily was selected as the National Big Sister of the Year from over 500 candidates nationwide by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. She represented Big Brothers Big Sisters of America at the Mentoring Initiatives Event hosted by First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton at the White House in 1999. A former member of both the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Catholic Big Brothers for Boys and Girls for over 10 years, Emily currently serves on the Advisory Council of The Catholic Big Sisters and Big Brothers. Previously a Vice President in Institutional Sales at Goldman, Sachs & Co., she began her career as a CPA at Price Waterhouse. A graduate of Georgetown University, Emily served on both the University's Board of Regents and the Advisory Board of the McDonough School of Business.
